Now it's cell phones in movie theaters. Not as annoying but still pretty bad. From watching old TV shows things seemed pretty different then. I can't remember the emcees name but he always had some sexual innuendo stuff in there.

Betty wasn't the funnest girl in town, but she did have the biggest_______ blanks?

And old Charles pipe falls out of his mouth. Classic stuff.

He was in my favorite X-Files episode, season 3's "Jose Chung's 'From Outer Space'." It also had Jesse Ventura & Alex Trebek as men in black. There's few snippets on YouTube but nothing on TV-Links.

Gene Rayburn was the emcee...the things the mind stores. He had perhaps the worst fitted set of dentures you ever likely to come across. It does evoke an era when not everyone had to be cookie-cutter-perfect to be on TV or in show biz. A big check in the "positive column" for the old seventies TV/celebrity world.
